Custom 2006 Chevy Express 3500 4x4 Van / Chase Truck.
We call it the “Chase Van”. It was built with the intention of being able to provide exceptional service for the offroad racer, adventurer, or just player. It has the 6.0L engine with only 109K miles on it. The interior has been outfitted with a 1 3/4”, .120 wall, 8 point DOM tube cage. The cargo area has been partitioned behind the side doors. The rear half of the cargo area holds all the parts and equipment you need. The spare tire mounts on the mid cross bar of the roll cage. It still has the ability to be outfitted to fit your specific needs. The E-track system enables you secure tools, parts, or whatever you need. There are also tie down mounts for securing loads. Truly versatile for a plethora of uses, it is a great set up. The mid section of the cargo area has a nice rubber mat overlaid with carpet. The E-track system is also on the driver’s side. The partition is finished in a nice, durable fabric. There is plenty of room for a fold down sofa bench, bench seat, captains chairs, or set it up however it would work for you. The front of the cage has door bars along the vinyl captains chairs. The windshield center diagonal support bars are tinted to stop any glare.Handles on the cage are a huge plus for getting in and out of this rig!
Rear and side windows are all tinted.
The 4x4 conversion was built by Boulder Offroad. The front differential is a newer style Dana 60 with the coil spring set up. It has King 2 ½”, 10” travel, dual rate, remote reservoir shocks with the coil over radius arms. This set up allows for 11 ½” of travel. The gear ratio is 4:10. Bump stops are the King 2” air bumps. The transmission is backed by a 271 transfercase. Driveshafts were made by Driveline Service in Boulder. The transmission has a custom built crossmember to allow for optimal clearances. Both front and rear sway bars are heavy duty. The rear suspension is a custom built triangulated 4 link. It has 12”travel King 2 ½” dual rate, remote reservoir coil overs allowing for 17” of wheel travel. Rear differential is a trussed Dana super 70 with 4:10 limited slip gearing. It also has the King 4” travel air bumps. The fuel tank has been replaced with a custom built aluminum 40 gallon tank surround by a tube cage and special skid plate.
It is outfitted with BFG KM2 37x12.50x18 mounted on black Pro Comp 7098 series wheels.
This is a perfect van to have set up however you need it.
